During the first three years of life, a child’s brain absorbs more information from the environment than at any other part of their lifetime. Every sight, sound, touch, taste and smell is taken in and processed. It is an amazing, wondrous period in a tiny, complete human being’s life.
In our prepared classroom, a specially trained, warm and loving Montessori teacher fosters the development of gross and fine motor skills, independence, and language of children. A sense of ownership of place and belonging within a community is cultivated through shared and individual activities. These most wonderful and essential early years of life are protected and enhanced according to their individual needs.
