Montessori School of Vienna was founded in 2017 by Duminda Athapaththu, the owner and director of the school. After spending more than a decade supporting his wife as an assistant Montessori teacher, Mr. Athapaththu was inspired to create a nurturing space where children can learn, explore, and grow at their own natural pace. With a Bachelor of Science and over 10 years of hands-on Montessori experience, he brings a thoughtful balance of academic understanding and heartfelt dedication to early childhood education. His passion for teaching shines through in the joyful moments he shares with the children—whether it’s guiding them through new lessons, playing outdoors, or tending to the school garden together.
